The CAO relies heavily on their website, opto.ca, for member engagement, revenue generation, and awareness campaigns for vision health. We worked with them to revamp their site after completing an in-depth SEO audit, from both a technical perspective and in terms of marketing best practices. Through this exercise, we provided a lengthy list of recommendations for increasing traffic and improving the user experience. Cyan continues to work with CAO on a variety of web and design projects.
Cyan has helped us with a variety of projects over the course of the last year, most recently with a major revamp (ongoing!) of the CAO Website. From back to front, they have done a fantastic job. High quality work, with attention to detail. They combine creativity and customer service in everything they do and are great fun, to boot!
Director of Marketing and Communications
Every two years, CAO hosts a professional conference for optometrists and students. In 2019, we designed and built a microsite within their current website to feature important event information such as sponsors, speakers, schedules, pricing, registration, etc. The conference branding was bright and colourful and we applied those elements throughout the site.
Membership to CAO boasts a wide range of benefits, including access to the Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA) program. This online education program gives optometric assistants the skills and knowledge they need to contribute to a thriving optometric practice. The CCOA program is its own entity within CAO and as such, we designed and developed a new website that would continue to work within the current’s site infrastructure but still have its own CCOA look and feel.
