Pan-Canadian Framework
Cyan worked closely with the CHPCA to redesign and produce several resources, including their Pan-Canadian Framework document which outlines their visions and goals, and provides a strategy on how to achieve them. Cyan also designed two workbooks for distinct audiences — one for the public and one for lawyers — outlining the rights and legal requirements within each province for planning one’s future care.
Advance Care Planning Day
Each year on April 16th, CHPCA marks Advance Care Planning Day. It is a day to set aside time to reflect, and to connect with family and friends about what is important for your future care, in the event that you are unable to speak for yourself. As part of this event, Cyan designed a series of communications products including a brochure, posters, bookmarks, stickers and cards for a “How Well Do You Know Me?” game. All were designed to create awareness around the importance of palliative care and planning.
Saying Goodbye Concert
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, many Canadians did not have the opportunity to say goodbye to loved ones they lost. As a way to acknowledge this, and the grief felt by many Canadians, CHPCA coordinated an online concert in conjunction with National Bereavement Day. Cyan was proud to partner with CHPCA to design a logo for the event, as well as a website, posters and social media graphics. All were important elements in branding, awareness and education.
Advance Care Planning Universal Workshop in a Box
To assist organizations from across Canada with the promotion of advanced care planning, CHPCA created The Advance Care Planning Universal Workshop in a Box. Cyan helped to develop and design compelling content included in the toolkit, including a Facilitators Guide, posters, social media templates and several information sheets. This content covered everything from workshop checklists and marketing tips to participant surveys and FAQs. Cyan also produced an informational video on how to lead an Advance Care Planning Workshop.
Canadians and Advance Care Planning
The CHPCA conducts a bi-annual poll of Canadians regarding their attitudes and actions about advance care planning. Cyan was tasked with designing and laying out the results of the 2021 survey, as well as creating a one-page infographic that illustrates some of the key findings. This document is a key tool in communicating the importance of advance planning.
